My forum software (Hoverboard) is currently in the 'specification drafting' stage. I did have a concept version working a while back, but I've since lost that. Version 2, which is the first version anybody will see, will have a full specification to follow, with an API, plugin system, and I'll write servers and clients in more than one language (PHP and Google Go, respectively).
